Renewing Items

There are several ways in which to renew items. You can access your account through our online catalog, call our automated Telecirc service, or call one of the branches to speak to a librarian who will help you renew items.

To access your patron account through the web site:

Go to the My Account tab in the online catalog.
Enter your patron information -- Type in your library barcode number from your library card or key tag. Type in the entire 14-digit number; do not use spaces.
If you do not know your pin number, please call the library at 270-781-4882 for assistance.
Click on "login." (NOTE: Be sure to logout when finished, using the logout button located in the top right corner of the screen.)

Once you've accessed your account, you can:

view items checked out and due dates
request renewal of items (NOTE: You will not be able to renew items that exceed the maximum number of renewals (3), requested items, or DVDs.)
check status of hold requests
place new hold requests
view fines or account messages
When you are finished, logout

To access your account by phone through the Telecirc System:
Dial (270) 781-2924 to reach the automated telephone answering system. Dial 2 in the main menu to access your account options. It will now prompt you to enter your entire patron barcode from your library card. The prompt will ask for a pin number, ignore that and just input your entire 14-digit library card barcode.
Select one of the following options:

Renewals - press 1
Reservation List – press 2
Account Status - press 3
List items checked out to you – press 4
Switch to another account – press 7
Exit – press *
